The second phase of production and refining process is electrolysis. Electrochemical technique is applied to cast anodes with the purity of 99.5% Cu. Copper purity after electrolysis is 99.99% which is called as high grade electrolytic copper. Precious metals such as gold and silver go into anode slime. These metals are extracted from anode slime by using further processes.
