Founded in 1972, Sarkuysan went public the very same year and became a publicly owned company with 1612 investors. The company, commenced production in 1975 and paid dividends to its shareholders almost every year since 1976, now has approximately 40.000 shareholders. Nearly all of its shares are traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange since the Exchange was inaugurated in 1986.
